Brand new day

Hello world.  I spent the weekend with my best friend and her husband.  I had a good time but I still wish she’d just magically move back here.  It’s hard accepting the changes and the fact that part of the future you imagined is gone.

Ah but I didn’t decide to post today to talk about sad things.  Instead I wanted to mention that my favourite indie pattern designer is at it again.  That’s right, Keyka Lou has a new pattern and it’s just awesome.  I look forward to giving it a try.

You can buy it here or by clicking the Keyka Lou link on the right.  Her patterns are always well presented and easy to follow and I highly recommend them.

I’m off to face the rest of the day.  Fingers crossed that it’s going to bring good news.  Some stuff going on that I’d like to see have a good outcome.  The days are finally starting to get warmer and I can’t wait to sit in the sunshine again.

Oh and I just started using Google Friend Connect.  If you want to add me, the button is at the bottom of the left column.

New pattern at Keyka Lou

I am a mega fan of the patterns by Keyka Lou.  It just so happens she has a new one available.  It’s for a pleated pouch and I love it.  I want to try it soon, I’m just waiting for a day when I feel energized and inspired to sew.  You can check her new pattern and all the other patterns she offers by clicking the button over on your right.

I’ve made several of her patterns and own nearly all of them.  They have got to be the easiest patterns in the world to follow.  They’re so clear and well illustrated that even the trickier patterns are easy to work out.  I’m not ashamed to admit that I get a rush of excitement every time she announces a new pattern.  She is by far my favourite indie pattern designer and I’m excited to see what else she’ll come up with as the year goes on.  I always feel inspired to sew after looking at her patterns or reading her blog posts.

Ok, I’ll stop before I end up smacked with a restraining order! 😉

The snow is really melting here.  What seemed like an impossible and never ending amount of snow is slowly shrinking and I know that there really is an end to this winter nightmare just around the corner.  Sure we’ll probably have another storm or something just to annoy me but I know Spring is on the way and then Summer and all the joy and light that it brings.  Just thinking about the summer sun and the peaceful feeling I feel most sunny summer days makes me smile.
